  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder

  • 1 bunch of sawtooth coriander, chopped

  1. Heat the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook for 1 minute more.
  6. Add the sawtooth coriander, diced tomatoes, black beans, and beef broth to the skillet.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the flavors have blended.
  8. Serve with rice or tortillas.


Sawtooth coriander is a member of the Apiaceae family, which also includes celery, carrots, and fennel. If you are allergic to any of these plants, you may also be allergic to sawtooth coriander.
